I.- Who is Leyre Mahillo?
Irene and I discovered a couple of images of ‘The Dark Passenger’ collection some months ago and we were so thrilled that we decided immediatly we needed to learn more about it. This led us to Leyre Mahillo, the designer behind this outstanding fashion project. The combination of Toni de la Mata sculptures with her attires produces a fascinating result and, the way we see it, Leyre Mahillo has entered the fashion realm through the main gate with a collection full of strenght and power.

I.- Who is Thierry Mugler?
French fashion designer Manfred Thierry Mugler is a living legend, thus there is no need to write a long biography this time. However, we would like to share whith you some of the milestones of his career to date.
Always excited to learn more about different perceptions of beauty.
I.- Who is Marius Janusauskas?
Born in Klaipeda in 1979, Marius Janusauskas is a Lithuanian fashion designer. After graduating from Vilnius Design College (Fashion Department) in 2000, he completed a course on fashion and textile forecasting at Central Saint Martin’s College of Arts and Design (London) and he graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (Fashion Department) in 2012. Competitions are nothing new for Marius, as he has been winner of multiple fashion design awards including the 2012 Diesel Award over the summer. What’s more, in 2011 he was a finalist at the wgsn Global Fashion Awards in The Most Creative Student Collection category with experimental collection Algabal.

1.- Who is Sheguang Hu?
Sheguang Hu is a Mongolian-born fashion designer who moved from China to the Netherlands at the age of 16. He graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie for Fine Arts and Design and has been designing clothes for numerous Dutch and Chinese figures since then. His first fashion store was opened in Amsterdam some years ago.
Having showed during Amsterdan and Hong Kong Fashion week, he presented a fascinating collection at Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week 2012. In this blog post we would like to draw your attention to the challenging haute couture collection presented by this artist at Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week S/S 2014 in Beijing under the theme “sting”.
She has given birth to witches with a grunge soul, to Victorian heroines from a cloak-and-dagger novel, with unisex boots on their feet. Models in which black is the predominant colour, in which a wealth of elements superimpose, form knots, intertwine, generating a constant movement of the lines. Low necks or austere cuts. Fur coats or bikers’ leather jackets, trench coats or pullovers with architectonic necks…Ann’s aim is to tell a story through the silhouette. Recurring elements of her fashion are poetry, fragility, strength, androgyny, visceral black, the rock and roll incarnated by her beloved friend Patti Smith.
1.- Who is Ann Demeulemeester?
Ann Demeulemeester, born in Waregem (Belgium) in 1959, is a fashion designer whose eponymous label Ann Demeulemeester collections are sold in over 30 countries worldwide. She is married to photographer Patrick Robyn with whom she has a son, Viktor. The couple live in Antwerp, in the only house in Belgium designed by Le Corbusier.
