We are pleased to announce that our fine jewelry Machinarium Collection has been featured at www.jewel-design.com, a blog powered by iStockJewel: ‘Machinarium, unique jewelry collection for unique people’.
In their own words, www.jewel-design.com aims to be ‘a source of inspiration about Jewelry Design’. If you are interested in jewelry design do not hesitate to have a look at it, definitely you won’t regret it. For further information about www.jewel-design.com:
Naturally we would like to thank the team of www.jewel-design.com for choosing our creations, it’s an honor! And remember, do not miss the blog post about the Machinarium Collection: ‘Machinarium, unique jewelry collection for unique people’.
As you will probably remember, on 14th February we published a blog post entitled ‘Steampunk Chronicle Reader’s Choice Awards 2014’. This blog post had three objectives: announcing that the nominations were open, sharing with you international people and projects we believe in and, last but not least, asking for your support (as this year there is a ‘Best Jewelry Designer’ category). To be honest, the results could not be better. Why am I saying this? Because 15 out of the 32 nominations we suggested have succeeded and the icing of the cake is that we are among them!
Art Donovan Design, Boston Metaphysical Society, Brumas del Alba, Diana M. Pho, Duendelirium, Factoría Goggles, El Costurero Real, El Investigador, Ithilien, Kevin Steil (aka Airship Ambassador), MADLAB, Marcus R. Gilman, Sam Van Olffen, Suna Dasi… these are some of the people and projects we are honored to support and we invite you to learn more about them.
It is your turn, let your voice be heard and choose your preferred nominees, we hope to be among them with our Machinarium Collection. For the full list of nominations click over here, the voting phase runs through 22nd April. Time to vote (and you can do it here), thank you so much for your support!
In May 2013 we shared with you our thoughts regarding Steampunk Chronicle Reader’s Choice Awards 2013 and, following the tenets of Steampunk Hands Around the World, we cannot deny that we would love to see these Awards become an evidence of the international reach and creativity of the Steampunk Community.
At this point you probably know that the Nominations Phase for the Steampunk Chronicle Reader’s Choice Awards 2014 is open (until 28th February). The top three nominees, as determined by the number of unique nominations they receive, will move on to become finalists during the voting phase. Like before, categories with no nominations do not make it to the voting phase.
As usual, after the Nomination Phase will come the Voting Phase (from 15th March 15 to 12th April) and winners will be announced on 26th April (as part of Steampunk Empire Symposium).
There are 40 new categories this year and we have to say, as Wilhelmina Frame told us in advance last December, our request to create a ‘Best Jewelry Designer’ category has been considered! There is no need to say that, after advocating for the creation of the perfect category for Decimononic, wouldn’t it be lovely to see us win it?
Remember, we would love to see these awards become representative of the talent and creativity of the global Steampunk Community. For this reason we are pleased to share with you some gifted artists worthy to get discovered (with special emphasis on Spanish maestros). We all need your support, nominate us now!

About Laura Márquez’s Gallery
If you live in Spain and love art jewelry, you will have heard about Laura Marquez’s Gallery for sure. For those of you who have never heard about her, let us clarify that Laura Márquez is a renowned jeweller, expert gemologist and well-respected teacher with a long professional career and her own art jewelry gallery in Madrid since 1999.
My partner Irene López and I are most pleased to announce that some selected jewelry pieces from our Machinarium Collection are going to be exhibited at Laura Marquez’s Gallery until the end of February 2014. Taking advantage of the fact that not only art jewelry may be found at Laura Marquez’s Gallery, but also works of art of many other disciplines (painting, sculpture, etc.), an opening reception will take place on Thursday 12th December featuring our Machinarium Collection and the outstanding paintings of Natália Ruiz Llopart, a really promising multidisciplinary artist from Barcelona.
Why the Machinarium Collection?
