On occasion of the 6K Gavá Fashion Week 2019, the Decimononic crew has taken as starting point one of their previous collections in order to create an exclusive capsule collection, as an inimitable event like this deserves.
The Variscia Collection is born of mixing the coldness of a metal of the future, titanium, with the contemporary charm of a gemstone that has been used since the dawn of humanity, the ancestral variscite. On the basis that all the jewels of this collection are one-of-a-kind due to its artisan craftmanship and the use of the aforementioned gemstone, some pieces stand out due to its geometric rotundity and the dynamism of the mobile elements made of variscite beads.
This collection transcends the traditional sources of inspiration of the brand, taking as reference the legacy of the Bauhaus School and the French architect with artist’s soul Le Corbusier in the quest of that ‘rationalist functionalism’ that inspired the Brutalist architecture, a style that marked a turning point in the second half of the twentieth century.
The result is a minimalist collection, with a noticeable industrial raw style toned down by the gentleness of variscite. A collection that will delight both lovers of such an special gemstone and lovers of the spots where it can be found with all its telluric force.
