Steampunk no longer remains aloof from mainstream and this means that it is gradually receiving more and more attention on every front. This includes fashion.
In the fashion channel of our You Tube account you can easily check that some recent Haute Couture collections could have been perfectly inspired by Steampunk. Just to put a very well known example we can draw your attention at the Fall/Winter 2012 Prada collection.
However, is this a brand new relationship? Or is there any previous existing tie between Haute Couture and Steampunk fashion? We have been thinking about this and tried to sum-up our conclussions in a slides presentation entitled ‘The link between Haute Couture and Steampunk Fashion’.
