‘Monday is here’ by Lycia – A Singular Soundtrack by Decimononic

Lycia - Monday is here

We are pleased to share with you the official video for “Monday Is Here”, a Lycia’s song from the album “A Line That Connects”.

Who are Lycia?

After releasing 11 full length studio albums, it seems clear that the members of Lycia are real veterans. Formed in 1988, it is a darkwave atmospheric band with the following lineup at present: Mike VanPortfleet, David Galas, Tara Vanflower and John Fair (Will Welch was an early member).

Projekt Records has launched “A Line That Connects”, an album not far from post-punk, not far from shoegaze, not far from goth-rock. A handful of songs that will take you on a deep travel to enimatic places that you will not forget.

We would like to highlight “Monday is here”, a song that never ceases to amaze and evoke. With an oniric and nostalgic sense of loss (some things can never be brought back), it’s a perfect example of the path that Lycia chose 30 years ago. Quite surreal, decadent imagery perfect to let you dive into the music.

Video concept by Mike VanPortfleet. Produced by David “Slaya” Smith. Filmed in northern Michigan.
