We bring you today a quote from the was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist Carl Gustav Jung, founder of analytical psychology.
Individuation is the central concept of analytical psychology, this is, the psychological process of integrating the opposites, including the conscious with the unconscious, while still maintaining their relative autonomy. Jung considered individuation to be the central process of human development.
I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.
Jung created many of the classical psychological concepts, like the archetype, the collective unconscious, the complex, and synchronicity, and his work has been influential in philosophy, anthropology, archeology, literature and religious studies.
‘Words of Singularity by Decimononic’ is a series of blog posts conceived to work like a virus, spreading thoughts about empowerment and uniqueness. We may not fully agree with these quotes, but we think that they will promote reflection, critical thinking and debate about the importance of Singularity.
