As we did in 2014, we had the opportunity to participate once more in the Spanish jewelry fair with more tradition: Madrid Joya.
Celebrated from 9th to 13th September, it became the meeting point for the industry improving its figures since the previous edition.
We have to admit that this has been a very special event for us. Not only our pieces were displayed in the exhibition ‘Espacio Autor’ (‘Designer Space’), coordinated by the Spanish Association of Designers of Creative Jewelry, but we received the trophy corresponding to the first prize in the AJA Contest of Creative Jewelry Design for our ‘Abyssal’ cuff.
‘Espacio Autor’
Some pieces from our Metropolis Collection, which combines sterling silver, colored titanium and gemstones, were displayed attracting great attention.
In addition, the ‘Abyssal’ cuff was displayed with the other two awarded jewels in the AJA Contest of Creative Jewelry Design, accompanied by its trophee.
AJA Awards Ceremony
The prize-giving was scheduled in the morning of Saturday 12th September, when all the awarded designers received a diploma and had the chance to say a few words. It was a touching and intimate event that has left an indelible memory for both Irene and I.
Before the closing of Madrid Joya we had the opportunity to greet Mr. Raúl Romero from M&R Tools. Without his assitance (and the PUK micro-welding station developed by Lampert) our ‘Abyssal’ cuff would not have become reality.
